LAWRENCE'S FAMILY NOW SUING SCHOOL: THEY BELIEVE THIS IS THE REASON THEIR CHILD WAS KILLED

Ya.. See I don't know about this kinda stuff. Suing for everything just seems odd. The family of slain 15 yr old Lawrence King are now suing their kid's school because they did not enforce the dress code. They believe this is the reason their son was killed. Hmmmm I dunno if this is a good claim..

The family of a gay Oxnard teenager who was fatally shot in class is suing the school district, claiming its failure to enforce the dress code led to the boy's death.

The parents and brother of 15-year-old Larry King filed a personal injury claim against the Hueneme (weye-NEE'-mee) school district seeking unspecified damages.

King, an eighth-grader at E.O. Green Junior High School, was shot in February. His classmate Brandon McInerney pleaded not guilty to the shooting last week. He is charged as an adult and also faces a charge of a committing a hate crime.

The claim, filed last week in Ventura County Superior Court, says administrators and teachers failed to enforce the school's dress code when King wore feminine clothing and makeup to school. [SOURCE]

KID PLEADED GUILTY IN LAWRENCE KING MURDER TRIAL

Fourteen year old Brandon McInerney pleaded “not guilty” in the killing of classmate Lawrence King (Left). Lawrence gave Brandon a Valentine card and Brandon decided he was a homophobe and shot Lawrence because of it.

Defense lawyers also argued yesterday that the charges should be dropped to manslaughter, rather than murder. McInerney faces up to 51 years in prison if convicted, because he is being trialed as an adult rather than a youth.

I hope a lesson for the public will come out of this trial. Homophobia in the school place is not needed. I was once there and felt the homophobia throughout high school. No one needs to go through this, straight or gay.

TEEN WHO SHOT LAWERENCE KING BEING TRIALED AS AN ADULT

Most you all know about the tragic story about a young 15 yr who was shot by a classmate because he was gay. The judge in charge of the case wants to have Brandon McInerney stand trial as an adult for his actions.

A judge in California has ruled that that a 14-year-old boy who is to stand trial for the murder of his classmate be dealt with as if he were an adult.

As a result of Ventura County Superior Court Judge Douglas Daily's ruling, Brandon McInerney could face life in prison. [SOURCE]

But.. Get this. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans activists had urged that the boy be dealt with by a juvenile court. Crazy stuff eh? I dunno where I stand. I do believe when you're at that age you know what you are doing and maybe he should be charged as an adult. Killing someone is serious stuff so it should be dealt with in a serious manner.
