BETTY WHITE & BEA ARTHUR SPEAK OUT ABOUT ESTELLE'S PASSING

Awww. My friends are even calling me with the sad news. Just got a message from my friend Jenia telling me she just heard too. It taking the entertainment industry by shock. Here is what Bea Arthur (Dorothy) and Betty White (Rose) had to say about Estelle:

Bea Arthur has released a statement to Usmagzine.com after the death of her Golden Girls co-star Estelle Getty:

"Our mother-daughter relationship was one of the greatest comic duos ever, and I will miss her," Arthur said.

Getty — who played Arthur's sarcastic mother Sophia on the hit NBC sitcom — won an Emmy in 1988 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Saddened by the news, Betty White (who played the naïve Rose) told Us, "The only comfort at this moment is that although Estelle has moved on, Sophia will always be with us." [SOURCE]

ESTELLE GETTY OF GOLDEN GIRLS HAS PASSED AWAY

"Golden Girl" Estelle Getty has gone to the big lanai in the sky and died at the age of 84, just three days shy of her 85th birthday.Estelle passed away at 5:35 AM this morning at her L.A. home surrounded by her family and caregivers. Getty had been suffering for years with Lewy Body Dementia.Although one year younger than Bea Arthur, Estelle is best known for playing her wise-cracking Sicilian mother Sophia Petrillo on "The Golden Girls." Co-star Betty White is also one year older than Estelle. [SOURCE]

So Sad.. Look at them all. This show is Bloody Brilliant. Me and my boyfriend, when we want to have a laugh, we pop in a season and just die from laughter. I got him into it bc he had never heard of the show before. Ohh My Portuguese Man.. How he doesn't know good 'Ol TV from back in the day..

Anyways.. Estelle will be greatly missed.
